Its dark, so we shan’t be seen!

Tonight I realized, in a burning moment of clarity:
I have lost my soul.

Don't know where she is wandering
like a shadow that does not belong to an incarnate being
don't know if she ever returns,
but have to get used to living without her.

no more doubts of being or not being
no more thoughts of leaving or staying
no more can I hear her complains.

Now that I have nowhere to go,
I'll be wandering in this town, too
street by street
winter after winter.
and nothing can bring me down anymore,
just like everyone
